• Implemented Nokia Store publishing backend tools. With PHP, created web services using Symfony framework to automate content processing for Symbian, Java, and MeeGo applications submitted by publishers to reduce manual work. Content processing performed included extensive package validation checks, as well as content signing / encryption. Coordinated with various teams to identify requirements and analyze errors. Ported validation tools written as Python to PHP web services. • Collaborated with a team of 6 engineers in developing Ovi App Wizard web service. Wrote QML based application templates and created Perl based tools for compiling applications in backend. • Developed QML UI library in Linux environment. • Adopted Agile / Scrum methodology to increase work productivity and efficiency. • Implemented Secure Widget Runtime, a framework based on WebKit for Symbian devices as the runtime for Ovi Store Widget. Developed innovative solutions to solve various issues, including deploying correct framework version on multiple Symbian OS platforms running on billions of devices. Always able to fix critical errors in the shortest turn-around time. Participated in the entire software development cycle, including requirement analysis, prototyping, implementation, and productization. • Developed prototype solution that made possible deploying widgets via Nokia’s application delivery framework. Prototype solution was fully embraced by application delivery framework team. • Participated in building a media collection framework for Symbian OS. Framework was used for harvesting media contents on mobile devices. Applied OOP concept and design patterns in developing maintainable, efficient code. • In charge of Sanity Test effort for the state of the art router testing system, N2X. Knowledge of various routing protocols, network structures, basic Cisco and Juniper router configuration, as well as software test methodologies were applied to assure the quality, functionality, and reliability of N2X router tester software. • Updated Sanity Test plans, created new test scenarios, and added new test cases according to product and customer requirements to achieve maximum test coverage. • Responsible for performing regression tests, with test scripts written in TCL, for the Capture and Analysis components of N2X router testing system. In addition, OOP was employed to develop utility classes in TCL to provide easier means of maintenance and test scenarios setup that involve capturing and decoding of internet packets of various routing protocol encapsulation.
