In my capacity as the design lead of a design-led team, I was privileged to work alongside a frontend technical lead as openly collaborative as Henry. He has the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including a balanced view of consequences and benefits. He put forward technical solutions that, as designers we wouldn’t have come up with ourselves, but ultimately benefited the technical health of our client going forward, as well as the customer experience. He led and supported the junior engineers, and aligned with the backend developers to ensure organised delivery. He has a responsible but confident approach to his work, and liaised effectively not just within the team but also with other product teams across the floor.
