While working at AFPC, I managed all attest engagements for various types of businesses including construction, manufacturing, employee benefit plans and not for profits. I led the AFPC attest staff in the completion of multiple audits, reviews, compilations, and specialized procedures engagements during my tenure. This required me to plan engagements, supervise and perform procedures, write reports, and also assist clients in the preparation of their financial statements as needed. I performed data analysis procedures such as Benford's Law and statistical analysis in my work. I also worked on various special accounting projects as needed. I developed and managed the firm’s quality control program for peer review. During my time at AFPC, I managed a satellite office and did marketing in the community. I developed and made numerous staff training presentations on GAAP updates, ethics, and best management practices. My role was also to mentor staff and promote an encouraging workplace. I also held an advisory role to firm ownership. Show less
