Working as an analyst tasked with processing samples for the detection of SARS-Cov-2 RNA within a highly controlled CL2, ISO-15189 accredited laboratory environment working to GLP. Roles involve the preparation and production of buffer solutions and MasterMix in order to perform analysis of SARS-Cov-2 RNA by RT-qPCR. Reporting the results using the laboratory management systems Q-Pulse, Intralis and FastFinder, assisted by Microsoft Excel. Communicating effectively whilst working under pressure, in a manually dexterous role, to assist in attaining the current fastest COVID-19 qPCR turnaround-time in the UK. Assisting with preparation for UKAS accreditation.
