As an expert researcher on Central Asian development, I drafted the bulk of the Final Report for the project “Promoting Perinatal Health in Kyrgyzstan”, a component of the German Development Cooperation's (GIZ) program Health in Kyrgyzstan. I was responsible for synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data about improvement in training for health workers in maternity hospitals in the northern part of the country. I was the first person to be awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Kazakhstan.
