Developed an evidence-based framework to assess after school provision of physical activity and food. The first exploratory phase of development involved several steps, including translating our Centre's research outputs into an actionable assessment framework, interviewing community and school stakeholders to determine the value of and demand for such an award by potential users, and analysis of interview transcripts to inform further development of the framework.The second phase involved developing a resource toolkit to support implementation of the award criteria, and working with our partners to develop an online award application in order to pilot the framework in several schools in the Bristol area and beyond. This role involved conducting an evaluation of the Bristol Eating Better Award Scheme, a free award scheme that encourages food businesses to take steps to offer healthier and more environmentally friendly food options.
