  As a Research Associate in the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge I worked on the ‘Al khor International School Improvement Project in Qatar’. I was part of a two-member team where we planned and designed an intervention study and identified the main research questions to explore in the intervention.   As a Research Associate at the University of Warwick I worked as part of a five-member team to collect data from primary and secondary schools across England to find out why the RSC’s Learning and Performance Network has been so successful. The work involved: ►Conducting individual interviews with local theatres and the head teachers, governors, teachers and parents of both primary and secondary schools in diverse parts of the country, from Kent to Hull. ►Conducting research into the impact of the LPN on individual staff development, in particular those with no background in drama or interest in theatre prior to their participation in the programme. ►Leading focus groups with both primary and secondary students and observing classroom lessons. ►Conducting independent analysis of the data using NVivo, reporting the findings to the Professor of Drama Education at Warwick University and to the Director of Professional Learning and the Programme Lead for the LPN at the Royal Shakespeare Company. ►Attending RSC events for schools.
