As president, I had overall responsibility for the society's strategic direction and its operations, as well as liaising with industry. I also represented Aerospace students at the University of Melbourne and advocated for their interests.

Operations & Logistics Team Lead

Worked as Operations & Logistics sub-team Lead for ARES 2022 Spaceport America Cup entry, assuming overall responsibility for the sub-team. The team supports the operations of the engineering team and liaises with external parties. The work entailed:-Negotiating with potential sponsors and finalizing sponsorship agreements. -Supporting the engineering teams throughout the project to aid in a successful competition entry. -Managing and directing members of the Operations team. -Coordinating with suppliers and undertaking procurement.-Managing stakeholder relations, particularly with the University of Melbourne and the Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology (FEIT).

I aim to continue working on and supporting our key projects, as well as forging connections between the society and industry.

Formerly Outreach Lead for the ARES University of Melbourne entry into the Australian Universities Rocket Competition (AURC). I was primarily responsible for coordinating outreach activities as well as communicating with the University and select external partners. During my time in the role, I was placed within the Mechanical Engineering group, assisting with patent drafting, filing and prosecution, IP portfolio management and litigation. I was exposed to work from a diverse range of clients including local or leading global companies across many industries and technologies. I've gained a strong holistic understanding of how companies take a product to market whilst simultaneously defending their intellectual property. The Astra Program is a multi-disciplinary program run by the Australian Youth Aerospace Association. Over the course of the program participants examine the challenges facing the Australian aerospace industry and its potential for future development. The 2021 program was focused on the topic: "Igniting an Industry: Creating a Blueprint for Launch in Australia", with a white paper on policy recommendations being developed and delivered it to the Australian Space Agency and industry representatives. I primarily addressed funding models and industry coordination matters that will assist the growth of the Australian space industry.
