James is one of the most highly competent and thoughtful leaders I have ever had the opportunity to know. James and I first met in 2007, when we were both undergrads at Virginia Commonwealth University, both pursuing courses in Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness. James’ passion and desire for the subject was comparable to none and he exhibited an ever increasing desire to learn more about our Nation’s intelligence and national security communities. James, as my senior undergraduate, took time out of his personal schedule to train me for the Army’s Physical Fitness Test and imparted ample leadership doctrine along the way. His balance of physical fitness and intellectual leadership enabled me to pass the Army’s Officer Candidate School Board Selection process with flying colors, enabling me to have a successful career in both the U.S. Army and Virginia Army National Guard. Coincidentally, James and I were scheduled for the US Field Artillery School right behind one another. As I am a graduate of USMC instructors, I know James received a rigorous and thorough purse of instruction that enabled him to become a leader of Marines. James and I were stationed concurrently in Afghanistan, under deprecate commands, in 2012. I know that he led his team with the utmost confidence and clarity as a Marine leader is supposed to and was successful in ensuring his unit’s success. James is one of the few individuals I know with the leadership qualities and experience of teams and organizations that I would regularly call on for guidance and wisdom in leading my own Soldiers. Any organization would benefit from James’ leadership traits and character and if you have any doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me. Very Respectfully, Jon Ward

I have come to know James over the past year while working on our MBA together. I have worked with James directly on several critical projects, and I am witness to his dedication and commitment to team success. He is unyielding and focused on project deliverables, but not at the expense of others. His caring nature coupled with strong decision making skills fashions him an ideal candidate for executive leadership. James is a dedicated professional who is passionate about serving society and his customers, and I value the opportunity to work with such a magnanimous person.
