  The company has varied from myself as the sole employee and evolved as required at times up to 6 graphic design staff with up to 30 DJs and dozens of bands on sub contracted services.Previous & Current Activities: Provision of Nightclub Disc Jockeys, International & National Acts, MC, Dancers, Fashion Events, Promotions and Marketing services for entertainment venues combined with provision of design for print and web mediums. We also evolved as a print & web brokerage, sourcing the best rates and fastest turn around times for our clients that we design for. We print from business cards to billboards and everything in between, we design then source the appropriate supplier be it, paper flyers, business or promotional cards, one way vision for glass, adhesive for signage or vinyl for banners. It s a business where we have had to constantly sell ourselves to the venues and re-invent what we do and how we are seen in the industry to keep ahead of a changing market.Since 2008 our prime focus has shifted to design & development of Content management System websites using the Drupal Open Source Platform.In 2007 KEC formed ModelComps (http://killadesigns.co/modelcomps.com.au/) and launched a boutique business selling modelling events to nightclubs and pubs, this has now evolved to include an online shop that we developed with an associate firm NetEngine.   I promoted an RnB club called flava from nothing, it was a closed room and it peaked at 1274 patrons in one evening (capacity was around 700) the highlight was a visit from Mariah Carey and her entourage. Mariah stayed for 90 mins enjoying the atmosphere and the crew partied for 4 hours, well past closing time.

  Go Kart Hire ComplexAnnual turnover AUD$750,000 - AUD$1mWe started with a run down business with 15 Go Karts turning over AUD$400,000 with little profit and the plant & equipment were in a poor state of repair. Through consistent and innovative marketing, we obtained the majority of the available market share. Subsequently, two of our main competitors' circuits closed down. We then acquired plant and equipment from one competitor and expanded to 35 Go Karts with faster turn over's of sessions and continued to increase revenue & profitability.I was very active in all roles from basic mechanic up to front office admin and banking, booking all media, in particular radio where I wrote our own ads, designed all our printed materials, negotiated public liability insurance and brought the business up to government standards compliances. I was also responsible for designing and engineering custom components for the Go Karts to reduce damage and increase profitability.My shares in the business went from 33% to 67% and then I gradually sold out to pursue entertainment related opportunities.

They had sold 2 systems prior to when I joined the company, one of those was returned by the client. I then sold 42 systems in 8 months at $8,000 each. They now supply over 2,000 systems throughout Australia, New Zealand and the USA. In total I sold 500 systems in a 4 year period.
