      The Education and Community Engagement Coordinator makes a difference in the lives of Atlanta citizens of all ages and backgrounds by supporting and promoting the activities of the Education and Community Programs department of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The Education and Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics of the Concerts for Young People, Family Concert Series, Educational & Community events, etc. In addition, this position serves as the administrator of the ASYO and TDP social media channels and coordinates email communication to critical audiences. This position will also track all budgets and expenses associated with grant-funded programs and assist in grant reporting. • Support all education and community engagement staff members as needed, including setting up spaces, coordinating musician schedules, working with the library to distribute music and materials, serving as a contact, building relationships with music teachers and school, students, etc. • Liaison with student musicians to coordinate mentoring and tutoring sessions with ASO Musicians and ASYO Musicians. • Main point of contact for Georgia Music Educator’s Association (GMEA) for concert access, Level Up tutorials, and other needs. • Maintain all social media for the ASYO and Talent Development Program, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and work closely with marketing staff to coordinate support from both ASO and ASYO audiences. • Responsible for maintaining and continually updating all education email lists, including music educators, partners, families, students, alumni, etc. • Actively work with marketing and communications staff to promote ASYO events, increase student registration, attract talent, and engage students in the ASO. • Track and manage all education budgets and report to funders, partners, etc. • Coordinate all education event volunteers.
