Undertook geotechnical design on structures at Whitechapel Station. Work included finite element modelling and pseudo finite element modelling of deep box structures constructed using diaphragm walls with incoming and adjacent tunnels, pile design, 2D PFE modelling and design of multipropped contiguous pile walls and preparation of geotechnical baseline reports. Completed a 3D finite element model of a circular shaft at Whitechapel Station using LS-Dyna and Hypermesh. Also acted… Show more Undertook geotechnical design on structures at Whitechapel Station. Worked as an undergraduate carrying out general geotechnical analysis on various projects and design of highway bridge structures. The principle project I was involved in was preliminary design for the M25 Rapid Widening scheme, where I undertook design of retaining walls, re-graded slopes, reinforced soil and soil nails using computer analysis programs to BS8002 and BS8004. I also worked on site as the supervising engineer on a ground and structural stabilisation project in the United… Show more Worked as an undergraduate carrying out general geotechnical analysis on various projects and design of highway bridge structures.
