I was working with Karis on a Business Development project for the Social Stories Club. Karis is a fantastic team leader, she has the ability to read people: identify strength, weaknesses and work with developing an individual as well as getting the task done. Whenever the project run into difficulties I got immediate support that helped to get the project done in no-time and move to the next. Apart from being a great mentor, Karis has fascinating project management techniques, which are especially helpful when working remotely. Karis is a restless and enthusiastic entrepreneur when it comes to helping people and the community at large. The amount of awards she has won is proof of that. I wish you all the best in your future projects and look forward to working with you in the future.

As a Holiday Representative for TUI I was sent to work in both Tunisia and Mallorca. In Mallorca I was given four units to work in, with two aims: sales, and customer service.Sales: Each week I surpassed my sales target (averaging at 151% by the end of the season) and each week I was the top seller in my team. My success in sales down to experimentation, 'trial and error,' creativity, and attention to detail. This method saw my sales increase week on week. Over the course of the summer I sold over 50,000 euros worth of excursions. Sales came hand in hand with delivering excellent service- customers who trusted me became repeat customers Customer service is valued very highly by TUI, by the end of the summer I reached my customer service target. When I entered resort my hotel had one of the lowest satisfaction levels on the island. When I left the satisfaction of customers improved significantly. This was solved by creating and maintaining a relationship with the hotel by addressing problems to the manager and and presenting her with solutions to these problems. When customers complained I also empowered them by presenting their problem to the manager and relaying the solution we agreed on.

On the 26th of June 2015, 30 TUI guests were murdered by ISIS terrorists in the resort of Sousse, Tunisia. Although no guests from my hotel were directly involved int he attack, in the aftermath I was responsible for managing the inevitable hysteria and chaos in my hotels that would follow. In this situation I learned how to keep calm and professional when dealing with tragic and difficult situations.
