Responds to translation requests; identifies available translators and proofreaders for the required language combinations; assigns work; ensures projects are completed on time; oversees quality control to ensure grammatically-, orthographically-, and culturally-correct translations; and ensures consistency with each project’s requirements and compliance with all state, federal and local laws, regulations, codes, ordinances, statutes, and procedures. Monitors the Translation Division email inbox and voice mail and promptly responds to all client inquiries. Maintains a database of thousands of certified, mother-tongue linguists, keeping all contact, certification and rate information up-to-date, adding new translators as they are vetted by management, and maintaining notes about clients’ preferences for specific translators. Maintains past performance information about all translation projects CIT has completed for inclusion in proposals.
