I was responsible for the developer community, both daily firefighting of bugs and future facing development to make the ecosystem better for developers. I served as the developers voice internally and their advocate to make out products easier to use. Major accomplishments• Grew the community from 150,000 to over 300,000 developers. • Major liaison between the management teams in the UK and our engineering teams in APAC to include: quarterly travel to the APAC sites, team performance, recommending solutions to upper management and provide training which has a great impact on morale and productivity.• Automated 95% of the mbed enabled certification process by creating the CI Test Shield. This reduced engineering hours by 98%.• Lead role in developing the mbed enabled program which allowed an increase in sales by providing a baseline of quality assurance and co-marketing opportunity to partners.• Created the ARM mbed YouTube channel, through which we have reached over 50,000 additional developers per year without any increase in direct effort (passive developer education) with ~100,000 views to date and 1,000 subscribers. I was primarily engaged in managing the organizations minimum viable prototype to production readiness. I worked with the CTO to verify board designs, product designs, test jigs as well as the mass deployment of the wearable. I also worked with the data scientist to establish a continuous effective flow to acquire large amounts of data across a bandwidth limited data channel. In addition, I worked with the phone application team to develop a standard method of handling data across embedded application to include the web application. I played key roles in every software related item on this multi-disciplined team as well as being responsible for development and integration of multiple peripherals and their drivers and establishing standards for BLE development among embedded, web app, and phone app teams. • Scoped and implemented roadmap from minimum viable product to consumer product launch. • Subject matter expert in specific technologies including: Machine Learning, Bluetooth (low energy), Cortex M MCU's, USB, UART, SPI, I2C, and REST API's. • Gained exceptional knowledge on innovative products that use machine learning to detect work out movements and categorize them. • Most proud of working with a multi-disciplinary team to create an end to end system that works for all level of technical engineers. I was engaged in ensuring overall quality and transitioned into a responsibility for the development of software for several different product families of MCU’s, from initial design phase to production and shipping. As a member of the core software team I had a passion for building software that was portable, modular, and reusable across our entire product family. The Stellaris Chips were pioneers in re-usable code across chip families, and as a core software engineer is was my responsibility to both write code that was worked across this wide range of silicon as well as maintain and contribute to the new libraries for upcoming chips.• Managed porting the CC3000 / 3100 WiFi drivers for our product and was responsible for all WiFi component interaction. • Directly contributed to the success of the TM4C123G and TM4C129g boards; collectively known as the Stellaris / Tiva launch pads.• I implemented an NDEF level NFC stack for the TRF7970A transceiver • My greatest pride at this job was being able to work in a software ecosystem (stellarisware / tivaware) that legitimately made it easier for users to develop, lowered the time to production, and allowed for a better overall user experience.
