John Wambaugh
The questions Mark asks can be hard to answer but lead to progress. Mark and I have worked together for two years while he has been a post-baccalaureate fellow researching at the US EPA Office of Research and Development. He never hesitates to dive into a research paper to gain a better understanding of the problem before him. Mark Sfeir approaches problems from unusual angles, leading to unexpected results.

Research Fellow in High-Throughput Toxicokinetics at US EPA

Feb 2019 - Feb 2021
On John Wambaugh's team at the EPA in Research Triangle Park, NC, I implemented, tested, and documented new models and features in the open-source High-Throughput Toxicokinetics (httk) R package, maintaining version control with Git and coordinating programming needs using Confluence and Jira. Toward new functionality and exposure estimates in httk, I transformed datasets, including LC-MS analyses of hundreds of chemicals' behaviors in relation to different in vitro exposure metrics. My readings in primary literature informed changes to TK models that in turn inform regulation. Show less
