I was lucky enough to be selected as Nathan's mentor, and what a pleasure it was working with him in the early stages of his career. While I worked with him as an intern, he was very receptive to my training and really thought things through. It did not take him long to begin to work independently, and I did not worry in the slightest when I left large features or other tickets in his capable hands. It is no surprise to me why my company selected him initially as an intern and within a couple short months as a salaried developer. He was especially passionate about making his code structured, organized and optimized in a way that would be efficient and easy to maintain, both in client-side React and server-side Node. As if being an excellent programmer wasn't enough, Nate is also a great guy to be around. Very good-spirited, fun, and aiming to find solutions to the problems he saw around him. I greatly enjoyed his presence. He has proven himself extensively for the time he was here. Whatever workplace chooses to employ him will be that much better for his contributions.
