Lindsay is a sharp, focused person. In our time at EMILY's List, I was always impressed with her ability to diffuse heated conversations with the general public both orally and in written communication (which is a delicate, tricky task). Aside from her long list of credentials and impressive political side projects, at the heart of what one gets from working with Lindsay is someone who's both incredibly dedicated and yet has the sense of humor and grace to handle the more complicated and tempestuous situations as they arise. I would jump at the opportunity to work together again.

I am very pleased to recommend Lindsay, who was my Vice Chair in WIN - the Women's Information Network. What stands out to me most is Lindsay's willingness to confront any issue, fearlessly, and honestly. She is exceptionally organized, and kept us on track all year long. She is good at setting up and adhering to systems and policies. She is very passionate about politics and her commitment to Democratic and women's issues is impressive and inspiring! It was a pleasure to work with her and I would gladly do so again!

Brave New Films creates documentary films to champion social justice issues and inspire civic engagement. As Associate Producer, I prepared in-depth policy research for a feature-length film examining American gun violence as a public health issue. I also managed documentary casting, conducting extensive pre-production interviews with survivors of domestic violence, suicide and mass shootings and encouraging them to speak on camera, in many cases for the first time. • Campaign Manager
      • Sep 2013 - Jan 2014

During the 2014 primary election, I worked as the Campaign Manager on one of the cycle's highest visibility House races, transforming an underdog into a frontrunner by raising twice as much as any other candidate and earning key endorsements. In addition to crafting the campaign's strategic path to victory, I designed and implemented a $1.2 million budget; hired and supervised staff across all departments; and directed a team of 10 off-site consultants and vendors. I also drove a fast-paced communications operation, drafting press releases, pitching news stories to both local and national reporters and acting as the official campaign spokesperson. As a senior policy advisor, I helped to shape the candidate's platforms, and I worked closely with a top polling firm to test and refine core messaging. I also built the campaign's robust online presence on major social media platforms and with influential bloggers in the progressive community.

During the 2012 general election, I helped fuel an 18-point win in a seat Democrats had previously won with just over two percent of votes. As National Finance Director on Representative Michelle Lujan Grisham's first campaign, I recruited, trained and managed an in-house team of fundraisers that repeatedly exceeded campaign goals, doubling average weekly fundraising totals in the final three months of the election. I also cultivated political support from labor unions and local Native American tribes, and I executed a series of fundraisers featuring such high-profile hosts as former House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin.

    • National Finance Director
      • Mar 2011 - Aug 2012

During the 2012 primary election, I managed a fundraising operation that brought in more than $2.3 million. Despite polling showing our opponent up by 30 points, our team succeeded in increasing its fundraising totals each quarter by simultaneously leveraging local grassroots support and a national network of high-dollar donors. As National Finance Director, I developed a metric-driven operation that allowed for high volumes of outreach across multiple marketing channels, real-time analysis of call time performance and optimized pledge fulfillment. I also restructured our finance operation to more fully engage the fundraising strengths of the candidate and the five team members under my management. Through partnerships with national organizations, I was able to grow the campaign's visibility in key ideological communities and drive list growth. I also prepared copy for all fundraising solicitations, pulled highly targeted data universes and integrated messaging across the campaign's social media platforms.

Mission Control produces creative, persuasive, targeted mail pieces that help political candidates and progressive campaigns win. During the 2010 election, I collaborated with graphic designers and fellow copywriters to develop the strategy, content and artwork for dozens of award-winning mailers. I also ran the sophisticated production operation behind the midterm cycle's largest absentee voter registration program, overseeing the design and distribution of more than 100 versions of a mail piece to 3.5 million individuals.

The Women's Information Network (WIN) is Washington, DC’s premier professional, political and social network for women. With support from hundreds of members, I won two competitive elections to serve on WIN's Board of Directors. As Political Director then Vice Chair, I oversaw the nonprofit organization's daily operations and paid staff; worked with teams to develop annual budgets and strategy; and designed original programming, including foreign policy trainings, conversation series and receptions with Members of Congress.

EMILY's List works to elect pro-choice Democratic women to office by recruiting political candidates, training campaign staff and engaging women as voters. I served as the frontline representative of the PAC and its slate of endorsed candidates, handling all incoming correspondence from active members, prospective donors and political opponents. I also operated the organization's monthly giving and acknowledgment programs, and I coordinated with colleagues to refine fundraising messaging based on member feedback.
