I worked with Lisa for six months in 2014. She is a very effective Project Manager who is able to harness the qualities of individual project team members and bring them together to achieve the necessary project outputs. Lisa has excellent attention to detail and ensures that risks and issues are managed effectively and through to resolution. Her stakeholder management approach is excellent; she is an excellent communicator and leader and someone who I hope to work with again.

My role at the University of Leicester was a fixed term contract. Towards the end of this role, despite having the opportunity to extend the contract for a further 12 months, I took the decision to take some time off from full time employment to support a family member who required complex surgery.

I also acted as a mentor in project management methodology and supported the development of a business change governance process. •Managed a project that delivered an online solution for students to submit and staff to assess requests for circumstances beyond a student’s control which may adversely affect their academic performance to be taken into consideration for assessments. This included: co-ordinating a complete review of the process used by students and staff; review of the current policy and obtaining approval of changes; balancing the need for potentially sensitive information with the new GDPR law requirements; and all steps required to support successful implementation in all academic departments and relevant professional services, including training and reference materials. •Implemented a centralised solution to support student requests to transfer to a different course, improving average turnaround times of requests being approved and processed from 10 days to 3 days, while ensuring all required checks were completed and recorded. •Led a review to reduce the complexity of the student placement process across all university departments. The review included industrial, work experience placements, International, ERASMUS and compulsory placements for Medicine and Education courses. Facilitated the agreement of core process steps for all departments, enabling a consistent centralised record system to be developed. •Implemented a centralised solution that records all the placements details required by every department. This was also designed to meet the requirements of the Compliance Manager in supporting UKVI checks.
