In John's work on Seattle's Climate Plan, he showed an ability to bring creative and well-researched solutions to the table, to coordinate effectively with all varieties of stakeholders, and to manage multiple responsibilities in an extremely fast-paced environment. His professionalism, hard work and enthusiasm was a real asset to Seattle's Sustainability Office and I enjoyed working with him.

John was a burst of focused energy and enthusiasm who contributed mightily to the launch of the climate program at the City of Seattle. He drafted major sections of the climate plan, coordinated with key players inside and outside of the government, and served as a respected ambassador to stakeholders and the public. It was a real pleasure to work with John; he is very bright, extremely productive, and lots of fun to have on your team.
