To whom it may concern, During my undergraduate experience, I had the privilege of being taught by Dr. Shome in his Marketing 321 course at the University of Idaho. Very early on, I (along with the rest of the class) could tell that this course was different than any other that we had been exposed to thus far. Dr. Shome established this difference almost immediately allowing us to manage our exceptions to avoid any confusion or frustration later on. It was made very clear that this class would be more interactive and hands-on with a greater emphasis on real world knowledge, interactions and potential difficulties. I have had the Privilege of working with Andy in the early stages of my career. I learnt the most important business Mantra under his leadership : "Customer comes first". Shome's discipline and never give up attitude help us build the internet business at rediff.com in India in the late 90's. Every large organisation was a client or a Partner. Team meetings were WAR ROOMS . Targets were INSANE and No Heights were Beyond SIGHT. Shome was with us in the field, yet he was fighting for us in the Board room WHILE he was devising the Next GO TO Market Strategy in his quiet Corner and at other times he was negotiating delivery Status for Clients' Projects, He Sure was OMNIPRESENT in building the Organization. Shome has created many successful businesses and Managers too in the journey.
