With the fresh knowledge under my sleeves and the inspiring energy of starting over, I decided to become my own boss. Teamed up with an incredibly talented web designer (and I guarantee that I am not biased) and her professional network, TACO – Talking Colors Web Design Studio came to life. I act as the general manager of the organization doing all the managing, administration and bossing around, but not only that, but also perform usability evaluation. • Financial Manager
      • Oct 2009 - Mar 2014

New country, new job. With this motto in mind, I started to work as the financial manager of the well-known Cypriot NGO (Non-Governmental Organization), Future Worlds Center. The position was challenging, to put it mildly, not just because I had never worked in non-profit environment in my life, but also because there had been no in-house financial department in the organization before. Working together with a great team and putting a tremendous amount of effort into the job paid off at the end. Some of the results that I am the most proud of (without being exhaustive): • Created and implemented all financial policies and procedures • Executed and finalized 25 successful external audits • Created a fully functioning in-house financial department • Implemented and tailored in-house accounting and time management system Email: contact@veronikasudi.com www.veronikasudi.com

    • Payroll Accountant Specialist (PAS) – Team Leader
      • 2008 - 2009

It turned out that the posting to accounting, I get involved with in Ireland, was a delicate area of the process without proper documentation and expertise. So, I filled the void and became Payroll Accountant Specialist with my own specialized, trained team. We created HR controlling position in Germany, France, UK and Ireland to handle with this procedure and serve as a link between the departments. We also prepared very detailed process documentation and training plan, so when I moved on, I left a fully functioning independent unit there. Email: contact@veronikasudi.comwww.veronikasudi.com

    • UK/IE Payroll Team Member – Senior
      • 2007 - 2008

The next project quickly followed the first assignment, but this time in Ireland (Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland) and as the project leader. The goal was the same, to transfer all payroll activities, so I got relocated to Dublin, Ireland. Although I was experienced in the UK payroll, I needed to be trained for the Irish as well (at IPP Dublin - The Irish Payroll Association) and learn how to lead a team. It was a bumpy road. Thanks to my original profession of being an accountant, I was chosen to work closely with the SAP consultant with the posting to accounting issues. Little did I know then that it would become my next position. Email: contact@veronikasudi.comwww.veronikasudi.com

    • 2006 –2007 UK Payroll Team Member – Experienced
      • 2006 - 2007

When I joined to this then-newly founded Shared Service Center in 2006, I knew nothing about these centers and how they operate. I was lucky enough to be recruited during the most exciting phase, the system implementation abroad. As a team member, my first assignment was to transfer all payroll activities from Rugby, UK to the SSC in Budapest, Hungary. Thankfully, that required relocation to the UK where I learnt and improved a lot. I had already been an experience user of SAP, but needed training in the UK payroll procedure and laws (at IPP London - Institute of Payroll Profession). Beyond that, I became a “master “of process documentation and testing, too.Email: contact@veronikasudi.comwww.veronikasudi.com

Although I had already come across with SAP during my summer internships, I was no expert. However, as an accountant at this Austrian subsidiary, I worked exclusively with SAP R/3, particularly with the financial module (FI). I was impressed by the system and its possibilities, so I chose to specialize in ERP system. All in all, I can thank my college degree for this job. My very first job fitted right into my family’s tradition. I was an accountant in a small consulting firm. The job was a perfect opportunity to see all the aspects of accountancy from data entry to year-end in a smaller scale, giving me the chance to see all my theoretical knowledge in action. I will always think of this job as the very foundation of my financial career. My very first job fitted right into my family’s tradition. I was an accountant in a small consulting firm.
