I navigated PolicyMedical from bootstrap (first office was in my mother's basement) to hyper growth to exit 17 years later. In the first few months my Co-founder and I found a specific problem we fell in love with solving for hospitals - which was healthcare policy management. We were the pioneers in that field as it had not been done before. Over the years the company grew organically in terms of clients, products and employees and by the time I left and handed the company over to an amazing and very capable acquirer we had over 3000 healthcare facilities mainly in North America. All of those clients will always be near and dear to me however there was one hospital in Plattsburgh, NY that took a gamble on us back when we were in my mother's basement and became our first client. In the summer of 2018 after running the company and doing some amazing things in product, marketing and client success with a wonderful team, I applied my "Own Your Exit" philosophy and moved on after the company was acquired.
