Mr Bennett has worked with me during the Spring-Ford Marching Band Championship Run of 2006-2015. In that time he has been exposed to, and learned from some of the most successful people in the activity. This allowing him to observe, evaluate, and develop his skills into that of an outstanding musician and educator. Rob's common sense, back to basics fundamental training as well as "pushing the kids ability to maximize potential" approach mostly results in his success as an educator. Rob and I have now combined our vision to create/ arrange our first band production together for the 2016 season. I would recommend Mr Bennett for the group or individual that is looking to improve, expand or perfect their musical skills.

While working in the South Middleton School District, I was responsible for instructing full band rehearsals and general music classes to students in grades 6-8 on a daily basis. I taught individual band lessons and also coordinated small group chamber lessons during the school day. After school, I taught Marching Band during the fall, and Jazz Band throughout the year. I was also the Assistant High School Band Director. In addition to those responsibilities, I worked to achieve the following goals:I developed meaningful assessments connected to both the curriculum and the instruction that guided individual student growthI worked to refine students’ musical abilities to help them achieve higher levels of musical literacy and independence.I collaborated with colleagues to bring visibility to: instrumentation needs, district and parent investment in the program, and student to teacher ratio for long range planning purposesFinally, as a music department we worked to increase student participation in instrumental music through the use of a vertical teaching model.
