Defined, developed, and implemented an original multidisciplinary PhD research project on innovation-supportive culture in subsidiaries in the Irish tech sector• Field of study covered a variety of aspects of innovation management, e.g. stages of new product development processes, generation and evaluation of ideas, development and implementation of innovation strategies, culture of innovation, best practices in innovation management.• Identified research problem, designed criteria to evaluate possible explanations, developed vision and timeline, recruited participants from 64 companies, negotiated access to fieldwork sites, collected data, managed relationships with different stakeholders, performed quantitative analysis (SPSS) and qualitative analysis (MAXQDA), and extracted key findings.• Designed and administered a novel approach to innovativeness research and developed an original model of innovation-supportive culture in subsidiaries in the Irish tech sector.• Distilled complex information into accessible visual, written, and verbal formats and translated technical data into information that could be shared with stakeholders across functions. Presented at 10 – 15 PhD workshops as well as four national and international conferences (e.g. Innovation and Product Development Management Conference 2016) and provided feedback and guidance on their work to 7 – 12 junior PhD researchers.
