Bio
Kate Kramer - Arendt
Sally was a excellent addition to our full-time team during event week for the ACMs. Not only was she reliable and persistent, she was a go getter who adjusted to all the needs our team threw her way. I appreciated having someone I didn’t have to worry about and knew would get any task asked of her completed. Sally was great to work with and if given an opportunity to work with her again, I would!
Sarah Sandberg
I met Sally when she first started with the DPC and have seen her embrace the industry with an open mind and desire to learn. Her dedication to the organization and its mission – networking, education and leadership development – is evident in the programs and events she manages. In just 13 months on the job, she more than doubled membership numbers and through the relationships she built, has been able to maintain those numbers through our industry’s downturn. Sally continuously looks for ways to provide relevant, valuable content for her members not just through the DPC but also by forging partnerships with other industry organizations.

In my role, I engaged with both internal and external stakeholders, communicating effectively and efficiently with both. My primary role was to educate and build an internal team of leaders who were active in supporting the communities we live and work through corporate philanthropy. My secondary role included assisting with internal communications by creating content for weekly newsletters, managing our intranet (SharePoint) and executing internal education and recognition programs. Executive Director

Oct 2013 - Jan 2019
As Executive Director for the Denver Petroleum Club (DPC), I was responsible for the overall management of the DPC and its more than 900 members. I worked closely with the Board of Directors on defining a vision, mission, values and strategic goals for the organization. Together we worked on creating new strategies for recruitment, retention and engagement of DPC members, which led a growth of 300+ members when I started to more than 950 when I left five years later. In this role I managed recurring educational, leadership development and networking events for members, developed and implemented marketing plans for recruiting new and retaining current members, created new programs, events, and partnerships geared towards enhancing member benefits and increasing retention and completed all administrative functions within the organization, including managing the annual budget. Highlights include being honored as one of the DBJ’s “Top 40 Women In Energy” in 2016, more than doubling membership in year one of being hired and retaining high numbers in spite of industry downturn and successfully executing events that raised more than $100,000 for the community.

Transportation Coordinator

Mar 2012 - Apr 2015
Volunteered as part of the ACM Crew in year one and then moved into assisting the Operations Team with transportation years two, three and four on a consultant basis. My responsibility was to be the liaison between the ACM staff and transportation company. This involved a variety of tasks including managing incoming transportation requests for artists, assisting with red carpet drop-off, trouble-shooting last-minute changes and ensuring we stayed within the ACM's transportation budget. Though this annual event is normally held at the MGM in Las Vegas, my fourth year of working with them was during their 50th anniversary, which was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

Provided event management, organizational marketing and development and built corporate relationships. Metro Volunteers was a small nonprofit consisting of three full-time, paid staff and therefore our roles and responsibilities constantly shifted and overlapped. This experience allowed me to build on my teamwork and collaboration skills, both within the organization and through the nonprofits, corporations and individuals that Metro Volunteers serves.
