Care Assistant/Team Leader/COVID-19 Marshall/Administrator
-
Oct 2014 - May 2023
Throughout my time with my current employer, I have taken on additional roles and responsibilities. Resulting in gaining hands on experiences of different elements in an employees life cycle. Care Assistant - I have played an active role in increasing the morale of staff and residents. Social and Health care work is incredibly rewarding. However, it is emotionally and physically testing and relationships are built between staff and the residents. Therefore, I have introduced both internal and external activities stimulating everyone's mental and physical wellbeing, which was particularly successful throughout the recent pandemic. Team Leader - Besides being responsible for supporting and supervising 60 members of staff. I am responsible for conducting quarterly supervisions and annual appraisals. Administrator - Due to the back-office consisting of a small team, I provide clerical and administrative assistance in response to sickness and annual leave. I am responsible for the creation and implementation of a long-term solution to overcoming an issue with lack of available space to store sensitive and confidential documentation. Inputting monthly payroll data for permanent members of staff and for the occasional agency workers. Sending data to an external company to create BACs file. Accepting and reviewing referee responses and ensuring that all referees have been contacted and chased. Whilst making sure all gaps in employment history have been identified and explained. Maintaining accuracy of personnel files such as notifying management and individual employees of upcoming renewal dates for DBS checks. Reviewing and updating staff training matrix via data collated from online training platform and other external providers. Any gaps or non-compliance identified are shared with senior management. I was assigned the responsibility of creating the Care Homes website and have continued to create engaging content for this and other social media channels. Show less
