My research focused on construction operations management, and more specifically, on takt production and decentralized autonomous production planning. Besides research, my work includes teaching, thesis advising, collaborative development with industry, and takt production advising & training. While pursuing my doctorate, I have had a steep learning curve on how to conduct research independently, but also collaboratively as a part of a multicultural research group, which has often included a deep interaction with the industry partners. In addition to frequently publishing in construction management journals and conference proceedings, I have aimed to actively distribute our research results to a wider audience (such as local and international industry partners) through newspaper articles, blog posts, presentations, and event organization. I have also had an opportunity to collaborate with students as a course assistant, and as a thesis and special assignment advisor.
