As Community Events Coordinator at SpecialEffect, I work with an incredible community of supporters, fundraisers and volunteers to build relationships and generate excitement and awareness for the charity.Working with established event runners such as ReedPop and Player1Events, I organise a team of over 200 active volunteers to deliver engaging stands at industry events like EGX, Insomnia, and Comic Con to promote SpecialEffect's work.I work closely with the wider Fundraising and Communications team to help maintain communications across all channels, including social media, our website, monthly newsletters and weekly live streams.

In my role in the fundraising and communications team at SpecialEffect I am responsible for assisting with events management, handling volunteer coordination and logistics for the charity's presence at industry events. I also help with donor care for larger fundraising events throughout the year, including GameBlast, One Special Day and several annual sports challenge events.
