Lauren provided me with an extra pair of (skilled) hands over a period of several weeks to assist in a mid-sized animation project. She was tasked to create and animate still elements within the desired style and conform to strict time frames (all whilst being creative with the way things went from A to B!) The results were fantastic and her methodical, collected approach to the collaborative situation made everything run as smoothly as possible. Lauren worked remotely yet her easy, professional manner with communication made me feel like she were right there in the studio. Lauren is extremely positive and a joy to work with. I would definitely recommend her to any studio, large or small.

Games. Animated 80+ character units for Heavenstrike Rivals (Square Enix), using Spine. Checked unit asset PSDs received from outsourcers and made minor art adjustments where necessary to prepare them for animation. Utilised established skeleton/animation templates to speed workflow, and rigged from scratch where needed. Created unique animations for gacha (paid) units, simple vfx, and provided fast, but quality, turnarounds on free units; whether free or gacha, I always injected a distinctive personality into each unit and ensured their animations fully expressed that. I liased with our Designers and Producer to ascertain release dates for units and any special skills or requirements; and with the rest of the team to ensure quality of animation in-game and attend to any fixes if required. I also collaborated closely with our Character Artist on character design, coming up with themes and visual cues/motifs, eventually assisting with aspects of the artwork pipeline as needed. Worked remotely as part of an international team on several series of animated explainer videos for NY Mag, Bark Post, '#BadDateDiaries', 'Secret History of Food', a pitch bible for a TV series, and an extensive informational video series for a medical research company, aimed at specific demographics across 10 countries. I was chiefly tasked with creating the digital 2D assets required for each video, based on sketches in the animatic, clarified poses and expressions, and ensured characters were on-model. I collaborated on style development, setting the aesthetic for three of the projects, and when required, also animated the visual and text assets, and helped with project managing the medical research videos. Led a small creative studio team in production of an animated pilot for a children's TV show. In addition to my role as project manager and lead animator, I've also been able to call on my knowledge of storyboarding and design: as lead story artist I oversaw and directed the storyboarding of the pilot episode; and as layout artist and production designer for the backgrounds, developed an aesthetic style to work with established character designs, ensuring the overall look remained true to the creator's direction for the show.Previously, I led production and design on a pitch bible for the same TV series, working closely with the creator on character design, location design, and aesthetic, exploring and developing the look of the show. While directing the studio team to achieve the creator's vision, I engendered a collaborative atmosphere amongst my team and we ended the project with strong designs that the creator of the show loved.
