When I joined Compaq and took on the ServerNet II team, Kathryn was instrumental in helping me ramp up quickly. She has a firm grasp on operating systems and in particular data transport. She collaborated across the company and with Microsoft on WinSock Direct and was instrumental in the design of WSD and later, RDMA over Ethernet and iSCSI. She also made significant contributions to porting Windows to the 64-bit Itanium processor. Kathryn is a brilliant engineer with no ego issues. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Kathryn again.

Steve Burdick

I've simply never known a software engineer better than Kathryn at developing solutions from datalink to application layers and resolving issues quickly while paying extreme attention to detail. She is an expert in drivers and APIs, among only a few.
