  As a lead developer for the Ramanbase project, an online platform designed for managing and analyzing Raman spectroscopic data, my responsibilities encompassed everything from initial system design and development to deployment and ongoing monitoring. The project began as a Django application with a basic template frontend but evolved into a more interactive platform using React. A key aspect of the platform involves complex algorithms that identify similarities in spectra, helping users discover similar spectra and understand their contents. This involved background processing using Celery and real-time progress updates via websockets. To improve performance, I implemented a caching mechanism for quick access to spectra in the database. The entire system was containerized using Docker and hosted on AWS. Building this project from the ground up, I continuously adapted to changing storage and computing requirements, gaining valuable experience with a wide range of technologies throughout its development. Currently, I am actively involved in further enhancing the platform by adding new features and ensuring its smooth operation and maintenance. Show less

  Following my previous successful collaboration with Whys I was entrusted with a new independent project. My goal was to develop an API that would serve as an offload application for a client's internal no-code service, which was experiencing long response times. To address this issue, I leveraged my expertise and implemented background processing with Celery, effectively offloading the workload and significantly improving the client's service performance. This application was then extended as an add-on for Shoptet, the largest local provider of e-commerce solutions. This extension required complex integration, which presented several technical challenges that I embraced. Thanks to the integration, the client service has seen an increase of hundreds of e-shops that have started using its service, showcasing the substantial impact of my work. Show less
