Senior Electrical Design Engineer- (Lead Systems and Testing roles)

Jan 2020 - Oct 2020
Provided consulting and services for testing, electrical design and systems engineering.I had a very dynamic role during this period, requiring the flexibility to jump into projects that had needs or were troubled and get them back on course. I had 3 discrete projects that I proudly worked on during this time.Served as a lead in Systems and Test engineering for a "industrial scale dialysate medical device" project. Responsibilities were to draft all of the prototype and validation test documents to ensure the device met the ISO and customer requirements. Updated the system architecture and requirements. Coordinated the software, mechanical, electrical and testing. Setup and administered JIRA for the project. This project all of the hallmarks of go-fever when I arrived. In coordination with the other new leads on the project, I helped orchestrate a stand-down from the unwarranted momentum and was able to enact empirical testing, cross functional team communication and issue management that yielded a redesign was in order before further progress should be made.Traveled to a remote factory to aid/consult in getting a new product across the finish line for production in the first weeks of Covid19. Critical analysis/audit of the required production steps and setup of the new production line. Audited and pushed new quality requirements for the factory. Coordinated production changes with the product customer and foreign manufacturing to solve a number of problems that were missed in testing. Lacking before I joined the team: issue management and a clearing house for issues determined during analysis and testing; empirical test methods and reports; requirement's analysis. Design and execution of environmental testing per ISO-60601-1 for a percutaneous cardio assisting device.
