Managing Director
-
Mar 2012 - Mar 2014
•CBA was started as a creative services agency by veteran fashion designer Christopher Bevans and myself in the spring of 2012. •Fueled by interest in Bevans from an investment firm in London, we formed CBA as a structure for the investment. •Bevans' network and opportunities were plentiful, so we hit the ground running. Within a month we opened a small office in mid-town Manhattan, executing small design contracts with two young design freelancers. With two months, larger clients started approaching us for our boutique sensibility and the team started growing. •Within 2 years, the agency had grown to 17 people, 3 apparel licenses (including one for the Smithsonian), a media and production department, a client list that included Under Armour, Adidas, CAA , and a teen fashion education program in alliance with the MacArthur Foundation. We ended up as far more than an apparel services agency - bringing together the worlds of fashion, tech, philanthropy, and music.
