I had the pleasure of reporting directly to Jeff Winkler for almost 2 years as an Information Security Analyst at Globecomm Systems Inc. Jeff isn't just another manager to me, he is a leader and mentor. What sets him apart is that he is directly invested in his teams success, both as a team and as individual members. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable in a variety of technology disciplines especially in the Information Security field. As someone new to the Information Security field, I was able to gain valuable knowledge and insight working directly for him. He identified the areas where I needed to grow and built upon the skills I already possessed. He also allowed me to fully manage an information security program providing valuable guidance along the way to shape an extremely successful program and exposing me to a variety of Cybersecurity roles.
