This role was a secondment from the State Solicitor’s Office. My role primarily involved prosecuting Police Officers for simple criminal offences in the Magistrates Court of Western Australia. The role involved representing the Commissioner of Police in civil and criminal proceedings in the Magistrates Court and District Court, as well as making applications on behalf of the Police to the Supreme Court. I also represented police officers who required legal assistance in civil proceedings and provided written and verbal legal advice on both civil and criminal matters.
