Research work on uncertainty quantification of Deep Learning methods in recognition of scanned documents. Reliable estimation of model's confidence can allow a system to act autonomously or semi-autonomously, giving it the ability to say "I don't know" when fed unknown or out-of-distribution data. Development on the company's annotation-training-evaluation pipeline. My first task during this internship was to add features to Odin Vision's annotation tool, where I was able to discuss with medical clinicians an effective annotation process. During the largest part of my internship, I worked on an internal tool whose objective was to run containerized machine learning algorithms on any type of data in a scheduled manner, deployed on the cloud using Kubernetes and Apache Airflow. This tool provides an automation in retraining machine learning and deep learning models, once new annotated data is acquired.

I integrated the Data Science department and participated in Kernix's PSDP (Predictive Smart Data Platform) project. The project consisted in creating a smart data platform aiming to improve business intelligence features by providing a recommendation system, and predictive services (dashboard, ranking, scoring, ...).During this internship, I developed my skills in Python, and learned JavaScript (ReactJS in particular). I've achieved expertise in the use of databases, notably MongoDB and Neo4j. I've also learned a lot about the use cases of Data Science that exist today.Kernix was able to benefit from my skills as I helped the integration of a recommendation system, and developed a dashboard for the PSDP platform. I've also given a training course on Javascript and ReactJS for the members of the Data Science department.I've really enjoyed participating in such a data-driven project, as it challenged my skills, and enlarged my overall culture in Computer and Data Science.
