I read historical fiction prior to publication giving constructive feedback to authors to help them both improve and understand the reactions of their readers. Guided by a series of questions I write a 2-3 page report outlining not just likes and dislikes, but character depth, inconsistencies and anomalies which can then be used by the author to revise the text. All assignments are completed within a given time limit. I am currently a preferred reader for 2 authors based on my feedback. Over the years I have dealt with a lot of different customer enquiries both on the phone and in writing, developing excellent communication skills and teamworking. I am used to working to tight deadlines, on difficult cases, with speed and efficiency, where attention to detail is paramount. As a long standing member of the team, I was able to help and coach new members.
