Manager Business Operations
-
Jun 2012 - Sep 2015
Manage operations of multiple appropriated (govt funded) and non-appropriated (revenue funded) business programs. By using an aggressive marketing approach, managing costs of goods/sales/labor I was able to take several of these programs and make them more profitable than they have ever been or at least the most competitive in their market. I was able to take a food service operation from worst to being the #1 food service operation in the Air Force in 15 months. I did this by personnel management, implementing new marketing/products and controlling waste to less than 3% monthly. The Non-Appropriated business programs included a Golf Course, Aero Club, Bowling Center, Arts/Crafts/Framing, Outdoor Recreation, Equipment Rental, Equipment Storage, Car Wash, Lake and Campground operations. The Appropriated programs included a200 room lodging operation, food service operation that feeds up to 2k daily, largest fitness center in the Department of Defense and a Club that serves as a venue for large events.Took the Aero Club and Golf Course facilities from average to #1 in their region, took the Bowling program from 3 years annual losses to being profitable. Took the Tickets and Tours office and turned the most profitable in sales to date.
