This included COC of the Crown Cluster, Travelling Block, Dead Line Anchor and Rotating table D-375 as well as 100% Hydraulic hose change out on both the Canrig 1274E Top Drive and Maritime Hydraulics Iron Roughneck. Aqualis inspection punch list killing prior to the Jack up being accepted on contract for Petronas. When Saturn arrived on location in Turkmenistan my role was to assist and advise for preparations to achieving the 24hr SIT (System Integration Test) this involved carrying out running repairs and maintaining full machinery capability.       Whilst employed at National Oilwell Varco in a role as a competent Oil and Gas Industry Mechanical Service Engineer, I was responsible for the maintenance, repair, upgrades, installation, testing and commissioning of all drill floor equipment supplied by the company. The 3.5 years had been spent in North Sea, SE Asia between China and Vietnam on a 4/3. My role consists of:- •Installation, alignments manually/laser, supervising and guidance, advising torques, material verification, flatness surveys, document revision, NDT reviews, dimensional reviews, piping system installations, pressure and load testing and verifications – all to ABS/DNV classifications pertaining to mechanical systems on Mobile Offshore Drilling Units. •When installation is mechanically complete I then partake in the start-up and commissioning of equipment including initial system functional verifications and subsequent hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting/repairs, through to final performance testing and system integration prior to rig delivery. •Flexibility is an essential part of my role as I often have to deploy worldwide at 24 hours notice, to carry out required National Oilwell Varco workscope, documenting all aspects of work on daily reports and final job completion on service reports using Tracker System. •Performing Mechanical Field Service:- Installation and Commissioning, Fault Diagnostics, Repair, Alignments, Upgrades, Inspections and Surveys, for National Oilwell Varco drilling equipment. •Excellent knowledge and highly skilled technician on hydraulic/pneumatics systems associated with heavy drilling equipment and auxiliaries. •Training colleagues and work associates on all relating National Oilwell Varco equipment and safe working practice. •Conversant with all aspects of danger associated with the Oil and Gas Industry and constantly striving to reduce hazards and consequently reduce risk Show less

Ensuring all parameters are maintained and within operation specification. •Maintaining an up to date written log of all reactor and secondary plant parameters and reactor plant associated cooling systems. •Responsible for all monitor based and reactive, maintenance, defect rectification of the main turbines, gear boxes, and associated clutches, turbo generators, hydraulic power plants, hydraulic control system, lubricating oil and transfer systems, main feed water, condenser and associated cooling systems. •Typical day to day duties would vary greatly from complex hydraulic valves, gear boxes, high pressure air compressors, heat exchangers, mechanical seals, rotating equipment, high pressure pneumatic valves, hydrostatic and hydraulic testing. The installation and alignment of centrifugal pumps and repair of steam and nuclear systems and associated valves. •On completion removing isolations, re-commissioning system following relevant procedures and adhering to all relevant safety documentation.
