At the 17th World Congress on Public Health, which attracted over 3,000 public health delegates across the world, I delivered an oral presentation on our public opinions’ survey findings which aimed to assess data-sharing opinions across Canada. Predictors/correlates of opinion, key implications, and the ongoing development of data harmonization tools were discussed.

Moving into this full-time researcher role, I have continued to analyze survey data assessing public opinions on genomic public health data-sharing. Alongside, I am leading an extensive scoping review project to uncover metadata usage in genomic epidemiology for outbreak investigation and surveillance of various pathogens. Key tasks include data collection, constructing a robust search strategy across multiple health databases, data analysis, manuscript writing, and publication.
