Canon have chosen us as their partners for “The Canon for Business Transformation Project” – an innovative marketing strategy. My role within this project is to increase brand awareness, generate new business and strengthen Cantec’s online presence.I have organised several successful events to date, produced various digital marketing material which showcases the work we do here and we have achieved significant return on investment.

Head of Design Department

From the role of Senior Graphic Designer I swiftly progressed to managing the entire design and print department. I actively developed new sales leads and searched new customer bases by networking, attending local events and building on existing customer relationships. I achieved a significant growth in sales in the first two years and by taking responsibility for the purchasing and accounting decisions I gained valuable insights into how to run the department well. All this time my interest and involvement in marketing was going from strength to strength. When Cantec merged two companies in 2011 to form Cantec Business Technology, a clear need arose for someone to lead the marketing department and I was promoted to Head of Marketing.

Senior Graphic Designer

As Senior Graphic Designer I took over all responsibilities within the department, from taking phone calls to finding new leads and moving customer jobs from concept to completion. I managed every step of the production process with customers taking responsibility for quoting for the job, arranging and hosting customer meetings, refining the design ideas and then overseeing the production process through to completion.

Junior Graphic Designer

• 2003 - 2007

As a Junior Designer I had increased responsibilities and started to deal with customers more and more. This meant taking phone calls, and helping customers when they came in to talk to us, finding out what their requirements were and producing quotes for them. When a customer then went ahead with a job I dealt with them directly, moving the job forward through the design and production stages, to the finished product. In this role I worked very closely with the Senior Designer. The products we produced most often were logo designs, brochures, poster design, business stationery and other marketing materials.

Trainee Graphic Designer

• 2002 - 2003

I started with Cantec as a trainee graphic designer while still at college. This work helped me learn the ropes and the processes involved in print production. I took a year out to work for Cantec, helping the senior designer complete various jobs and then returned to college to finish my final year. After graduation I was offered a position as a Junior Graphic Designer.
