I had the pleasure of having Jack on my engineering team at Tilt Video. We initially hired Jack to work on the frontend of our stack, focusing on HTML and CSS. We quickly realized that Jack’s skills extended into javascript. On his own, he began learning AngularJS, and almost immediately started marking significant contributions. Jack picked up AngularJS and the associated best practices patterns faster than I’ve seen learn a new framework. Jack has also been learning the Ionic framework on his own time (seriously, when does this guy sleep?) and was charging headlong into being the lead frontend engineer on a mobile app product, which I have no doubt he would have knocked out of the park if we hadn’t shut down first. Really it’s Jack’s character that impresses me most. Jack is thoughtful, considerate, and conscientious. It was an honor working with him, and I’d be thrilled to have him on any development team I’m leading in the future.

Marketing at Claco is different everyday. Working at a start-up has me doing a lot of things from planning trips, to managing a company twitter profile. Marketing at Claco is different everyday. While working as a contractor at Leland Land Co. I would do anything from mowing lawns to washing boats. This was just a summer job - but I learned plenty of skills such as working with a team and working with little instruction. While working as a contractor at Leland Land Co.
