Site Manager for Quant Beihai Mill

Quant Beihai is the Maintenance Service Provider for the StoraEnso Beihai Liquid Packaging Board Mill. The Mill has a capacity of 450,000 tpa mainly liquid packaging board and was commissioned in May 2016. Joined the operation as Site Manager for Quant in January 2017 and the Mill has shown significant improvements since then: continuous growth in production capacity over the last 10 months and time efficiency has improved from 85% in January to 96% in June 2017, now consistently > 92%. Achieve several production, efficiency and safety records during tenure, achieved 100% time efficiency bonus during last 3 quarters. During last 10 months achieved a 100% safety record without a single accident or incident. Achieved 4 new production records in March 2018. employment contract completed end March 2018.

Appointed Site Manager at Tsumeb Smelter site of Dundee Precious Metals in Namibia. Responsible all maintenance, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and DCS systems.Starting to achieve some significant improvement results. Have achieved 8 production records since joining the site and realising significant improvements in performance and reliability over past 18months. Transferred to manage Quant Beihai site in China.

Site Manager at Nampak Rosslyn Paper Mill in Rosslyn, Pretoria. Responsible for all maintenance, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil and Project Manager for the installation of 60MWe 50 tonne/hour steam Combined Heat and Power gas turbine installation. ABB sold Full Service Division to Nordic Capital who operates as Quant Service AB.Site achieved the accolade of most improved Quant Service site in the world. Have achieved 685 days without a Lost Time Injury when I was transferred as Site Manager for Quant Service at a site in Namibia.

Responsible person GMR 2 (1)..ABB Full Service functionality applied to manage the complete maintenance function at the Nampak Rosslyn packaging paper site. There are 2 machines, BM1 and BM3 and the maintenance strategy based upon the ABB Full Service methodology has been implemented to achieve the full functionality of the two machines. Considerable effort and time being spent to train and develop the existing workforce to world class standard. Starting to reap benefits of hard work and investment of time, energy and experience. Have achieved 3 new production records in past two months and have started with first phases of optimisation of plant personnel capabilities.Currently also busy with large Combined Heat and Power generation plant that will make Mill virtually independent from spiraling energy costs.
