When I first met Guillermo, I was new to Software Development. He is a great mentor, taught me many great practices, he also taught me how to not miss a trick during the design process, he is very analytical and detailed in his work. Guillermo is a fun and great guy to work with. Guillermo always has time for you, regardless of how much effort is required and is one of few people I really miss when he moved onto other projects.

I co-designed the IT system with the Chief Civil Engineer, and we obtained a system never seen before in Civil Engineering (this is 1994, long before internet was widespread).Topographers will go to the building site to take measures and return with a diskette that we will put in the IT system and render it to Autocad within minutes. The results were then sent via modem to Santander (we were in Huelva) to the engineer in charge of the bridges; and he will send them back ajusted. This saved a lot of time and money, specially in courier charges as this was the preferred method at the time. I was also the Administrator of the network and all systems; and wrote most of the Autocad macros that made everyone in the office to use Autocad like they were life-time experts. Show less
