I worked with My between January and May 2020 whilst My was working as a trainee careers adviser as part of her course at Coventry University. Throughout her placement with us, My was incredibly proactive in supporting the work of the team and making suggestions for how she was able to contribute to the University and our students, through both one to one and group work. My would often suggest workshops that she could run which would take her outside of her comfort-zone and also offer something different to Warwick students which both complimented and added to the service offer. During her time working within the service My ran workshops covering application planning and how to use values when determining your career plans. Within these workshops My engaged students ensuring learning objectives were met. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic My's placement was cut short in March 2020, however she proactively reached out to us and delivered a webinar to student around Job Search Strategies in the Covid-19 pandemic. My carefully wove together career planning theory to ensure that students understood steps they could be taking during lock down to support their careers. My embraced both the move to online delivery and also the challenging times in putting this workshop together quickly to allow us to run it with students early in the Summer term 2020. I've enjoyed working with My over the past few months and would wish her luck in her future career. Thank you for all of your support and hard work!

My was an exceptional and hardworking placement student during her time at the University of Warwick. She delivered excellent careers content as part of our central careers offer and was also able to to adapt her content for online deliver at extremely short notice during the covid-19 lockdown. Her ability to apply careers theory to practice was excellent and she effortlessly built rapport with students when conducting one to one guidance. I would recommend My to any HE careers role!
