Directed a strategic, multi-stakeholder project funded by Arts Council England, the aim of which was to drive Calderdale’s visitor economy through its cultural assets. Key achievements include:Secured a five figure sum in funding for the continuation of the project beyond the initial period.Engaged & maintained successful relationships with 12 consortium partner organisations and a network of more than 100 associate partners, working with leadership and staff teams.Implemented the first collaborative audience insight collection and collation, feeding the first borough-wide collective economic impact assessment of cultural assets, and Audience Finder cluster for the borough.Incorporated a new private company through which future collaborative work will be delivered, including developing a governance structure and business plan. Supported the development of a new festival and implemented and led a collaborative approach to the marketing and comms - leading a team of 6 arts marketers across 3 organisations.Developed advocacy tools and delivering presentations to encourage recognition of culture in economic plans and policy forums, with local businesses and as part of regional and national political dialogue.Led the repositioning of culture within the local visitor offer and economic growth plans. Drove changes in destination brand positioning and marketing including overseeing development of new website, print and digital marketing materials.

I spent 3 months working in Madrid at the Central de Diseno working with DIMAD (http://www.dimad.org/) and assisting on the REPLIC_AGE festival. Work here included:Liaising with international guests and speakers for the festival and conferenceTranslating contracts and press releases from Spanish to EnglishSupporting the coordination of the event programmeThis was as part of the Arts Across Borders scheme, funded through Leonardo da Vinci and administered by Beam (http://beam.uk.net/) and Una Mas Una (http://www.unamasuna.com/)I also worked on projects within the scheme that involved public events and workshops - British artists engaging with local communities in Madrid held at Espacio Oculto http://www.espacioocultomadrid.org/.

Managing a collaborative project, the aim of which was to engage local community groups, partner organisations and academics in co-produced research projects focusing on Leeds life during the war.
