During my internship at Luzac Eindhoven (Sept 2018 - Feb 2019) I fulfilled the role as support teacher physics and as surveillance employee. A few times a week, I tutored students, supervised in study halls and helped during school exams, tests and late tests. As a flexible employee within the team I actively helped the school. In the period of March - June 2019 I was hostess at Luzacs exam trainings. My role during this job was to convince high school students to choose TU/e as their place for higher education. Through this role, I was asked to present for huge audiences like the TU/e lustrum Dies Natalis and the Graduate School event, and moderated events such as TEDx, Famelab and SensUs. I was asked for this role due to my excellent presentation skills.

    • Intern - master's research student

In my master's project I investigated non-specific particle aggregation in biosensors: the creation of clusters can cause a decrease in sensitivity in sensors (f.e. the Philips Minicare), but is also undesirable in other investigations using nanoparticles. During my research, I have created a method to quantify particle aggregation rates for non-specific interactions using the optomagnetic cluster assay. This allows quick quantification of aggregation rates, which allows the study of clustering of particles for different particles, different coatings (such as PEG, antibodies, enzymes) and thereby creates an understanding on how to improve biosensors and stability of particles in complex matrices such as blood.

    • Intern - bachelor's research student
      • Sep 2015 - Feb 2016

Doing an investigation on time-dependent tethered particle motion, to create a new measuring method for micro RNA, in the group Molecular Biosensing for Medical Diagnostics (MBx).

A group of female Applied Physics students, who gather to talk and organize activities for the study association. Women are still a minority at Applied Physics, so we use this sorority as an opportunity to show our potential!- Nov 2013 - Nov 2014 treasurer- Feb 2015 - Feb 2016 chairman

    • Several committees
      • Sep 2012 - Feb 2016

Participated in several committees to organize activities for Applied Physics students. These are:- First year's committee to organize 3 activities for first year students- Introduction committee for new first year students - secretary- Several lustrum committees for the lustrum of the association (pubquiz, brunch and gala - chairman)- Several committees for the sorority, organizing activities for ourselves and for other students- Picture committee, making photographs and processing them for fellow members and for promotional use

Doing an investigation on combining Fluorescent Lifetime & Phosphorescent Lifetime Imaging methods (FLIM and PLIM). This gives the opportunity to measure fluorescent decays of longer lifetimes, and gives more information on samples than both techniques can give separately. During this investigation, the setup was created, tested on accuracy and a few exploratory measurements were done.
