- Honey is a company that helps users save when shopping online. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California. - My job at Honey was a seamless evolution of my previous job from Two Tap, after Two Tap was acquired by Honey in early 2019. - I continued working at the company's remote office from Romania, where my role expanded with new responsibilities. I also continued coding and validating JavaScript code, spotting problems and figuring out solutions etc. - Additionally, I was constantly communicating and collaborating on a technical level with Honey's teams from Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, as well as explaining the new features and procedures to our team from Romania. - Honey was acquired by PayPal for $4 billion at the end of 2019. - Two Tap is a service that allows shoppers to buy products from any online retailer on any platform or app with two taps. - The company's Romanian office was responsible for constantly integrating additional online stores into the Two Tap platform, maintaining existing stores whenever they changed, as well as providing non-stop support for our clients. - My role at Two Tap mainly consisted of writing custom JavaScript code for each store's integration, spotting problems encountered by the rest of the team and figuring out creative solutions, as well as validating the JavaScript code and regular expressions created by the team. - As the lead technical person from the Romanian office, I had intimate knowledge of how the Two Tap system worked in the back-end. I regularly held technical meetings with the team, and explained the system and our coding methods to new employees. - I wrote most of our technical documentation, using Notion. This included custom JS templates for internal use, and I was regularly adding new case studies and documenting new features as they were being added to our platform. - We used Confluence and JIRA for managing our internal tasks. Dec 2012 - May 2014
- I began freelancing as a web developer by contracting jobs from the Freelancer.com website, which helped me establish a couple of long-term collaborations. - During that time, I specialized in coding websites from scratch using PHP and MySQL, or implementing ready-made designs (e.g. from Photoshop) into pixel-perfect, cross-browser consistent templates using HTML(5) / XHTML and CSS3. - I also gained more experience with the Smarty template engine, jQuery and Ajax, as well as implementing custom admin panels / CMS systems. - ArsRetina.ro was a web portal featuring articles, videos and news about the most anticipated movies, TV series and video games, as well as novelties about the Internet, mobile phones and devices, science and technology, health, music and other topics. - Similar to my previous projects, I fully developed the website (front-end and back-end), and I maintained its content with the help of a former colleague from the PC Games magazine.

Jul 2006 - Dec 2012
- I started developing the Kon Network in July 2006 with the launch of Animekon.com - a website dedicated to Japanese animation and other forms of visual culture. - In September 2006, the second website was added to the network - TVkon.com, featuring trailers for games, movies and anime, which were also integrated into the other websites. - Next came CryoCopy.com, launched in spring 2007 as a web archiving service that allowed manual caching of Internet pages (also used by the other content-focused websites). - By July 2007, I finished a completely new version of Animekon, which allowed for faster deployment of the following websites - Wipefest (a World of Warcraft blog) in late 2007, and finally Playkon.com (gaming website) in early 2008. May 2000 - Dec 2007
- The playfuls.com website started as the English version of one of the top Romanian gaming websites - jucaushii.ro, which I had created in 2000 and continued to develop with the help of a few friends. - As a web developer, I was constantly maintaining the website's database and implementing new functionalities for the front-end and back-end, with occasional re-designs. - As a gaming editor, I was writing daily news and articles, uploading various media (image galleries, videos, and other downloads), while also managing a team of editors from around the country, who provided additional content. - From the summer of 2005, the website received a series of investments, and leadership was taken over by a private company, for which I worked as gaming editor and web developer until the end of 2007. - My position as gaming editor at the Romanian PC Games magazine came a couple of years after I had started my gaming website (jucaushii.ro / playfuls.com). - As an editor, I wrote gaming-related articles, news and interviews, with monthly deadlines for each issue of the magazine. - By the summer of 2005, the jucaushii.ro / playfuls.com website grew large enough to be more than a spare-time hobby, so I decided to leave the PC Games magazine, to work full-time on my online projects.
