Bio
Thomas Bolinger
To whom it may concern: My name is Thomas Bolinger. I am an adjunct professor at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA, and am currently teaching the Legal Environment of Business. During the Fall Semester of 2021, it was my pleasure to have Mr. Pierce Maginnis in the 8:00 a.m. class. As you might imagine, it can be very challenging for some students to keep their eyes open and form complete sentences that hour of the morning. Pierce was the exception. In class, he was both prepared and engaged. Further, Pierce ended the semester with one of the highest grades in that class. The thing I enjoyed the most about Pierce was his ability to respectfully push back and challenge conventional wisdom. This ability led to many stimulating class discussions, again, a rarity at 8:00 a.m. I am confident that Pierce will be a tremendous success in any career or endeavor he eventually chooses. It is my privilege to submit this recommendation for Mr. Pierce Maginnis.
Dean Nelson
To Whom It May Concern I am writing on behalf of Pierce Maginnis, a student in good standing at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, who has the computer skills that most of us only dream of. I have known Pierce his entire life, and it has been delightful to see his development as a thinker, a specialist, and a mature young man. Personally I leaned on his knowledge as I was trying to help my elderly parents become somewhat literate in technology. He was patient, knowledgeable and joyful. Not once did I get a whiff of condescension! Pierce has dealt with significant personal challenges in impressive ways. They made him stronger. I give him my highest recommendation. Sincerely, Dean Nelson, Ph.D. Director, Journalism Program, Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego. deannelson@pointloma.edu
